In the spring semester our chapter holds a formal which includes dinner, awards, and dancing! Thank you to the Royal Vancouver Yacht Club for hosting us and congratulations to our 2016 Alpha Gam Man, Cameron Sharpe!
Each year, Order of Omega hosts Songfest at UBC. Each fraternity and sorority performs a routine including singing, acting, and dancing. The theme this year was POParazzi and our sisters performed Ariana Grande.
The months of preparation paid off and we took home 1st place overall for the second year in a row!
Each fall semester our chapter organizes a semi formal event for all of our members to attend!
After a couple of months as new members, our 2015 Pledge Class was ready to be initiated into Alpha Gamma Delta. We are so proud of these members for their commitment and contributions to our chapter thus far. We are incredibly happy to have these women as the newest faces of our chapter.
We held the ceremony at the Arbutus club and celebrated over brunch with friends and family afterwards.
Getting a “big sister” is one of the most exciting things to happen as a new member. Bigs are given to new members to provide support within the chapter, guidance through university, and create lasting friendships.
Following Recruitment, UBC Sororities hosts Pride of Panhellenic (POP) to welcome all the new members from every chapter. This year Alpha Gam had a wonderful time having brunch, listening to motivational speakers, and introducing our newest pledge class to the Panhellenic community.
After two weeks of recruitment our chapter finally got to welcome home our Fall ’15 pledge class.
Each spring we hold a formal to celebrate our accomplishments for the year and to give out awards. This year’s formal was held at the Royal Vancouver Yacht Club.

Each pledge class has the duty of gifting the active members a gift to show their appreciation for all that they’ve done for them during their time as new members! This year’s pledge class decided to throw a Tea Party!
SERENA MIDTTUN SECOND YEAR ALPHA GAM // KINESIOLOGY // RICHMOND, BC “Alpha Gam has truly become my family! I joined as an opportunity to meet new people and become more involved on campus, but I have truly received so much more! Leadership opportunities by serving at VP Scholarship on our executive council, philanthropic ventures through events for our charity the JDRF, a stack of REC championship shirts, the most amazing little ,and friendships that will last a lifetime (just to name a few)! In all I could not be more thankful for the days that turned into nights, with the friends that turned into family! Alpha Gam with me in my heart forever.”
